Hi, My Name is Keanu Taylor, I am currently attending Johnson & Wales University (JWU) pursuing a Culinary Nutrition Major. I hold an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and Desire to become a successful Food Writer/Blogger as well as a New Food Product Developer.
I staged in many restaurants in Providence, RI including Gracie’s Restaurant and Local 121 and plan on staging more across the world. Spring of 2016 I completed my Culinary internship (externship) at one of the top ski and mountain biking resorts in the United States – Sun Valley Resort, Sun Valley, Idaho. I then was hired as a Line Cook for Gretchen’s Restaurant, located in the Lodge of the Resort as well as occasionally at the Bakeshop, located in the Inn of the Resort. I am now an intern at Edesia, for my Culinary Nutrition Internship.
During the course my writing career, I have written for the Johnson & Wales University Newspaper, Blogged for the JWU website, and occasionally freelanced through Upwork and Fiverr.com. I have Self-Published as short book and plan on traditionally publishing a Novel in after graduation. I also intern for Edible Rhody – a food writing magazine.
I was born with sickle cell disease and by the age of eight I was diagnosed with acute myelocytic leukemia (AML), which is a form of cancer. I am now fortunate enough to be cured from both diseases and has been healthy since.
Aside From my accomplishments and goals, what I enjoy most is making other people smile and laugh, even if it involves me making a fool of myself :).
